Syndicate Helios is a novel project that started back at the dawn of time as a group amusement. Since then the project has had the last laugh of its own, changing lives, the course of human history, and more than one conversation.

SH is the collaborative brainchild of Amanda, Callie, Nicholas and Rachel.

What they have in common is a love of dark humor, ass-kicking movies, history, Japan, video games, computers, hypotheticals, and—most importantly—books that don't suck.

What they don't have in common is first or last names. Rectifying that has always seemed more of a headache than it'd be worth though.

Another note on the subject of names: Syndicate Helios used to run under the working title Shinigami High, but it was changed in favor of a title that actually has to do with the story. Other options considered included Fuschia Fish or This is not a Writing Project, both of which would have been descriptive improvements, but were ultimately lacking in their acronym forms.

It all just goes to show the supreme power of entrenchment.
